Venice Canals, Los Angeles.

The Venice Canal Historic District is a district in the Venice section of Los Angeles, California. The district is noteworthy for its man-made canals built in 1905 by developer Abbot Kinney as part of his Venice of America plan

I had no idea that Los Angeles had canals! The houses in the area are all quirky and unique, some are modern and bold, others looked like liked they’d been stuck together with glue and sticky tape.

This house looked like it was made by Dr Seuss. Look at the window panes.

I actually wish I’d taken more photos.

I took TK to the library last week, and as we walked through the carpark under the library to the lift, TK wouldn’t hold my hand, and kept running on ahead.

I was trying to explain to him if he doesn’t hold my hand he could get hit by a car.

“No Mumma – I’m being careful!”
“TK, you are impossible!” TK stops in his tracks and turns around.
“Oh yes Mumma, I love to be impossible.”
